How to Make Japanese Curry with Shrimp

There are many ways to make curry. Try to think of some creative ingredients such as using a variety of fruits from pineapple to apples for preparing curry. Ingredients: 4 Japanese curry blocks (4.2 ounces) two potatoes one carrot approximately 4 ounces of shrimp (peeled with veins removed) 1) Peel and cut the potatoes into 1/8 pieces per potato. (Start by cutting in half then quarters then 1/8 pieces) 2) Cut the ends of the carrot and peel the outside. Dice the carrot into round .5 inch to an inch slices. 3) Heat a oiled pan and add the starchy vegetables. Saute for 3 minutes. 4) Add the curry blocks into a pot and transfer the vegetables to it. 5) Pour enough water to cover the vegetables and turn on the heat to boil. 6) When the water boils, turn the heat down to simmer and remember to constantly stir the curry to prevent it from burning on the bottom. You may also skim of the foam that rises to the top. 7) While the curry is cooking, stir fry the shrimp on a oiled heated pan till pink. 8) When the curry sauce thickens and the potatoes are cooked, turn off the heat and add the cooked shrimp. Mix it in. (Curry sauce should be slightly watery but start to thicken as it cools down it will get thicker like gravy.) Serve with rice and enjoy! 3)
