Transcript Do you feel like sometimes you're making less than optimal food choices? Well here's a smart tip to help you easily improve your eating habits. My favorite thing to have people do is add before they take away. I've found that if I just take it away, well nature hates a vacuum and you can manage to fill in with way worse things than we started with. When you start to put in good things, like non-starchy vegetables, and a rainbow of colors; bumping up your fiber with things like legumes and nuts and seeds; and also getting in breakfast each morning; and adding protein in each meal. Well when you start to eat the good, it naturally crowds out the bad. I'm JJ Virgin, Nutrition & Fitness Expert of JJVirgin.com, and thanks for listening to my smart tip!

Safer Diets, Boosters, Sleep Aids and Energy Pills
Bring me up. Bring me down. Despite certain dangers with certain drugs, there are some safer kinds of diet pills available than the other, more dangerous than certain others. However, when you take enough diet pills to really suppress your appetite (especially when you use them around dinner time) you will often have too much energy to get a good night of sleep. The reason is because diet pills will often stimulate someone's metabolism. However the chemicals that induce this elevated metabolic rate (among other things) can also keep an individual quite wakeful. Thus, in order to maintain a regular sleep schedule he or she will often turn to sleep aids.

Doctors Explain Healthy Way for Bill Clinton's Dramatic Weight Loss
After undergoing heart surgery back in February, former President Bill Clinton has adopted a healthier lifestyle. In a recent interview with CNN Bill Clinton talked about his plant-based, vegan diet and recent weight loss. "I live of off beans, legumes, vegetables and fruits. It has completely changed my metabolism. I've lost 24 lbs and I weigh about what I did in high school," says Bill Clinton. Bill Clinton says his diet does not include any meat or dairy. Clinton drinks a glass of almond milk mixed with fruit and a protein powder supplement every morning. What made him go vegan? Clinton has read many books on the topic, including books by T. Colin Campbell, Caldwell Esselstyn and Dr. Dean Ornish. /// A Short Historical Perspective on Vegetarian Diets In the past, many viewed vegetarianism as strange and faddish but appropriately planned vegetarian diets are now recognized by many, including the American Dietetic Association, as being nutritionally adequate, and providing healthful benefits in the prevention and treatment of chronic diseases . Choosing a nonvegetarian lifestyle has a significant health and medical cost. The total direct medical costs in the United States attributable to meat consumption were estimated to be $60-80 billion a year, based upon the higher prevalence of hypertension, heart disease, cancer, diabetes, gallstones, obesity and food-borne illness among omnivores compared with vegetarians . A large body of scientific literature suggests that the ...

How to Make Japanese Curry with Shrimp
There are many ways to make curry. Try to think of some creative ingredients such as using a variety of fruits from pineapple to apples for preparing curry. Ingredients: 4 Japanese curry blocks (4.2 ounces) two potatoes one carrot approximately 4 ounces of shrimp (peeled with veins removed) 1) Peel and cut the potatoes into 1/8 pieces per potato. (Start by cutting in half then quarters then 1/8 pieces) 2) Cut the ends of the carrot and peel the outside. Dice the carrot into round .5 inch to an inch slices. 3) Heat a oiled pan and add the starchy vegetables. Saute for 3 minutes. 4) Add the curry blocks into a pot and transfer the vegetables to it. 5) Pour enough water to cover the vegetables and turn on the heat to boil. 6) When the water boils, turn the heat down to simmer and remember to constantly stir the curry to prevent it from burning on the bottom. You may also skim of the foam that rises to the top. 7) While the curry is cooking, stir fry the shrimp on a oiled heated pan till pink. 8) When the curry sauce thickens and the potatoes are cooked, turn off the heat and add the cooked shrimp. Mix it in. (Curry sauce should be slightly watery but start to thicken as it cools down it will get thicker like gravy.) Serve with rice and enjoy! 3)

5 things you Can do for Inflammation Part 1
www.takebackyourhealth.com What You Can Do 1.Diet is probably the largest contributor to inflammation. Junk food, foods high in refined carbohydrates like bread, pasta, and sweets disrupt blood sugar regulation, which results in inflammation. Trans fats and an overabundance of Omega 6 fatty acids found in most vegetable oils also stoke the inflammation furnace. Eat completely unprocessed foods and complex carbohydrates including beans and non-starchy vegetables. Supplement with Omega 3 fatty acids like fish oil, which is highly anti-inflammatory. Although labels can be misleading, look for trans fat free foods. 2.After age 27, your stores of systemic enzymes start to dwindle. When you eat cooked foods, your body uses its stores of enzymes for digestion. Systemic enzymes destroy the circulating immune complexes (CIC's) that fuel inflammation. CIC's can lead to scar tissue build up, accumulation of plaque in arteries, fibromyalgia, and a host of other conditions. To counteract dangerous enzyme depletion, eat more raw foods and supplement with systemic enzymes. 3.Sleep more. Lack of sleep causes inflammation. Think about how you feel after a sleepless night. Brain fog, fatigue... you can feel the inflammation. Lack of sleep also depresses your immune system, which encourages the inflammatory response. http
